The Geek Hierarchy (mockity-mock-mocky.)
Personally I think the order is all wrong... LARPer should NOT be above fanfiction writer, and Band Geek should be higher up on the list (Eliza's a band twinkie, and I'm an RPer/Yaoilicious fangirl, and I consider her a lot cooler than I am).
Someone should make one of those "How much of a total dork are you" quizzes... like, "Congrats, you're 20% Otaku, 30% RP geek, 2% LARPer and 400% creepster, stop talking to teenaged girls you perv."
Also, after thinking about the nerdiest people I know (which, because 'nerds' are usually also the nicest, most giving, sensitive, and intelligent people I know, is not an insult), I went back and discovered that there's no "Coding Geek" category-- one that my cousin gwillen would fit into nicely (among some other people I knew in high school that tried to impress me with pages and pages of html. Why am I a lesbian again? Oh yeah). People who write their own games, or hack into webpages, people who have custom case-mods on their computer towers and laugh at people who like Linux (because they know that [whatever is better than Linux] is for the real men) and won't even talk to someone who thinks Windows is cool. People who are veritable Gods in their own circles and online, but are kind of regular in real life (like Neo from the Matrix, I guess). Or that guy who got the 'blue screen' dialogue tattooed on his arm.
I also think there should be separate categories for 'old school' and 'new school' gamers and wow I'm really putting too much thought into this...
